Boulder City Historic Train Rides on Labor Day Weekend

You'll get another chance to go back in Southern Nevada history. The Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City will resume historic train rides for the Labor Day 2007 weekend.

The trains will run Saturday through Monday, Sept. 2-4 at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Excursion train rides depart from the Nevada State Railroad Museum station located at the intersection of Boulder Highway and Yucca Street in Boulder City. The 7-mile round trip lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Along the route, the passengers can see scenic views of the sprawling El Dorado Valley, the River and McCullough Mountain Ranges and examples of Mojave Desert plant life and cacti.

Fares are $8 for adults (12 and older), $7 for seniors (65 and older), and $4 for children ages 11 and under.

In addition to the train excursions, the weekend event will feature exhibits set up by the Toy Train Operating Society of Las Vegas (TTOS) that displays model train layouts.
