Pink Friday to Raise Money for Breast Cancer

Boulder City will be going passionately pink for the cure Friday.

The Boulder City Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the event to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The program starts at noon at City Hall. There will be a box lunch fundraiser at Bicentennial Park. People can buy a lunch at the park or have it delivered to their office. Order forms are available at the chamber offices. Lunches are $10, but there is no charge for delivery.

Several chamber member businesses will be offering specials including Boulder Dam Brewing Company. The brew pub will donate $1 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for every drink it sells from noon until close on Friday.

Residents should also be on the lookout for people who are part of the bicycle scavenger hunt around Old Town, and people on motorcycles for the scavenger hunt around the whole Boulder City area. The hunts start at 4 p.m., with awards being presented at 5:45 p.m.
