Community Gets Ready for Damboree Celebration | Community Spirit
Boulder City is getting ready for the explosion of activity from the annual Damboree Celebration Monday.
It will be the 63rd Annual Damboree party. It starts at 7 a.m. at Bicentennial Park with the pancake breakfast put on by the Rotary Club. The parade follows at 9 a.m. The parade starts at Colorado Street heads down Nevada Highway to Fifth Street to Broadbent Memorial Park at Avenue B and Fifth Street. At 9:05 a.m. there will be a flyover by the Boulder City Veterans Flying Group.
Independence Day festivities will go on at Broadbent Memorial Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., including midway rides, food, drinks and games. At 11 a.m. will be the Damboree Ceremony including the raising of the flag, singing of the national anthem and awarding of the trophies for the parade.
More games and contests will be held at Veterans' Memorial Park from 6 to 11 p.m., including live music from Michele Blanchard and Heels Over Head.
The whole celebration will end with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
