Las Vegas Will Go Bald for The St. Baldrick’s Foundation March 5th!
Las Vegas Will Go Bald for The St. Baldrick’s Foundation March 5th!

This Saturday, March 5th marks the annual head shaving fundraiser for the St. Baldrick's foundation, an event that started with an attempt to raise $1,000 for childhood cancer research, and has ballooned into a huge event. Over 300 southern Nevadans have signed up to shave their heads on Saturday, and have formed highly competitive teams looking to raise the most in donations. Participants include everyone from celebrities to cancer survivors to teens.

The event will be headquartered at McMullan’s Irish Pub at the Tropicana. Due to the large amount of people willing to participate in the fundraiser, events will be taking place at the Boulder Station and Nine Fine Irishmen at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino as well. Everything is set to kick off at McMullan's around 2pm Saturday, and continue on until about 3am!

"We don’t have a huge formal dinner or silent auction as our fundraiser,” McMullan said. “Rather we are having hundreds of people throughout Southern Nevada show up and sponsor their neighbors, friends and even strangers willing to have their heads shaved to bond with children who have lost their hair to cancer.”

So if you are in the area, stop by and cheer on the generous people of Las Vegas shaving their heads to fight cancer!
