Volunteers Needed for Lake Mead Cleanup Efforts
Park rangers need help cleaning up Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Rangers will take adventurous volunteers on the OZ boat to clean up around the lake. Volunteers will enjoy a boat ride to a selected cove while they assist park rangers with two-to-three-hour litter-removal effort.
Many dates for Operation Zero program are available from March 3 to May 19 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The OZ program is best suited for groups of six to 10 people. Park officials call it a great program for business groups, church groups and other organizations.
