The Dam Short Film Festival is returning to Boulder City next week for its ninth year.
The screenings for the festival start Wednesday at the Boulder Theatre and continue through Saturday, February 9. The 146 films entered in the festival are grouped into several categories: Drama, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Documentary, Animation, Student and Nevada Filmmakers.
This year’s festival will feature a 90-minute Found Footage Festival featuring old videos found at garage sales, thrift stores and dumpsters around the country. That festival will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 7.
Tickets to each film program or showcase are $7, while a four-day pass is $75. Tickets are available at damshortfilm.org or at the door on the day of the show.
