A film chronicling a variety of aspects of Lake Mead National Recreation Area recently received the Spring 2013 CINE Golden Eagle Award

The film, “LIFE IN THE DESERT: LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA” describes the sacredness of park lands to Native Americans through a local tribe member, and also uses unscripted interviews with park visitors as they enjoy hiking, bicycling, fishing, swimming and boating. 

The 21-minute film is shown daily at the Lake Mead Visitor Center.
