Boulder City Jet Crash Victim Identified | News

BOULDER CITY, Nev. -- The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the passenger in a jet that crashed Friday as Richard Winslow of Palm Desert, California.

Winslow was flying with pilot Douglas Gilliss of Solano Beach, California when the jet they were in crashed near Boulder City killing both men.

The Family of Doug Gilliss Released a Statement

Court paperwork in 2009 shows that Gilliss had his certification revoked after signing paperwork that he had done a check ride with a pilot involved in another fatal crash.

The FAA found that Gilliss had falsified paperwork to say he properly trained the pilot in the that crash.
