LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the human remains found at Lake Mead National Recreational Area on Nov. 15.

Forty-one-year old Julia Lopez-Maraville died as the result of strangulation, according to the coroner's office.

Red Rock Search and Rescue found the woman's remains in an arroyo on Highway 147 at mile marker 5, however, Metro Police is heading up the investigation.

Metro did not release any other details about Lopez-Maraville's death, but homicide detectives are investigating.
