Lake Mead Rangers bring wonders of nature to First Friday
Parents & kids

Rangers from the Lake Mead National Recreation Area will be teaching kids about the wonders of nature in a special display at First Friday.

The rangers will be using hands-on exhibits to teach kids about the solar system and space exploration. Kids will be able to meet a representative from NASA and see an actual astronaut flight suit.

The rangers will talk to kids about Lake Mead's summer astronomy programs and the meteorites that have been found in the park.

The event will be part of First Friday's KidZone at the corner of Casino Center Boulevard and California Avenue. A 30-foot space shuttle model will be on display near Charleston Boulevard.

Rangers will also be at the Science Expo at Cashman Center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The free event offers hundreds of science and technology exhibits and experiences. Parking at Cashman Center is $5.
