Law Enforcement Looks for Drunk Drivers over Fourth of July Holiday

Boulder City Police will be joining forces with law enforcement from around southern Nevada to crackdown on drinking and driving over the Independence Day holiday.

The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign will include sobriety checkpoints throughout southern Nevada starting Tuesday, July 3 through Wednesday, July 4.

Officers that are trained as Drug Recognition Experts will be looking specifically for drugged drivers. They will be trying to find and arrest impaired drivers before they get into an accident. The Fourth of July holiday is one of the deadliest holidays of the year for DUI-related accidents.
