An organization spreading a message about cancer in dogs made a campaign stop Tuesday at a pet store on Desert Inn Road and Durango Drive.
2 Million Dogs’ “Summer of Murphy” tour is working to spread the message about cancer in humans and companion animals. They also work to fund research focused on the common links between cancer in animals and humans.
The campaign gave out information about the early warning signs of cancer in pets and dogs received a treat from the pet store.
The group is also promoting its fundraising golf tournament set for Thursday at the Boulder Creek Golf Course in Boulder City. The tournament starts at 8 a.m. Tournament fees are $125 and include green fees, cart, goodie bag and lunch. People interested in joining the tournament can go to pledgeorama.fulgentcorp.com to sign up. Go to 2milliondogs.org, for more information.
