BOULDER CITY, Nev. -- Tis the season to enjoy the holidays in Boulder City.

Boulder City is welcoming the holiday season with twinkling lights and Christmas trees throughout the city and an array of festive events for everyone to enjoy.

Luminaria and Los Posadas
The United Methodist Church of Boulder City will present Luminaria and Los Posadas on Thursday, Dec. 4. It will offer residents a live re-enactment of the Nativity while local talent performs holiday music. It starts at 6 p.m. and will be held at Recreation Center located at 900 Arizona Street.

Community Tree Lighting
On Dec. 5, families will be able to join ‘Jingle Cat’ in the park for the annual Community Tree Lighting. There will be live entertainment and hot chocolate served to everyone that attends. It’s happening at 6 p.m. at Frank Crowe Park located at 640 Nevada Way.

Santa’s Picture Party
Families and residents alike are invited to have their pictures taken with Santa. Children who attend Santa’s Picture Party at the Old Gymnasium located at 900 Arizona Street on Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will receive a free coloring book and goodie bag.

Santa’s Electric Night Parade
The historic downtown area will be aglow on Dec. 6 with spectacular lights, decorated floats, bands and much more for the annual Santa’s Electric Night Parade. The parade begins at 4:30 p.m. at Nevada Way and Colorado St. in Boulder City’s Historic District.

Parade of Lights
The Lake Mead Boat Owners Association’s presents the Parade of Lights immediately following Santa’s Electric Night Parade on Dec. 6. It starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Lake Mead Marina.

Night of Lights
St. Jude’s Ranch will host its 8th annual Night of Lights with a traditional Italian dinner, hot chocolate, s’mores, arts and crafts, entertainment and pictures with Santa. This will take place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 6 at St. Jude’s Ranch located at 100 St. Jude’s St.

Holiday Train Rides at Nevada Southern Railway
The Santa Train will have special guest, Santa and Mrs. Claus riding the festive holiday train with residents. Visitors of the Santa Train can bring their camera and have their picture taken Santa and Mrs. Claus. Tickets are $5 per seat and seats are first come first serve. The Santa Train will run on Dec. 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21. For more information including departure times, visit here.

The Pajama Train
The Pajama Train allows residents to experience the magic of a train ride at night. Ride includes hot chocolate and cookies, along with story time and a visit by Santa. Pajama attire is encouraged, but passengers must wear closed-toe shoes. The Pajama Train runs Dec. 5, 6, 12 and 13. Ticket prices start at $14 for Standard Class.
